Wir sind stolz heute ZevenOS 1.9 als Vorschau für Version 2.0 präsentieren zu können.
Das Grundsystem wurde in dieser Version auf Ubuntu Jaunty (9.04) geupdated was vor allen Dingen Geschwindigkeitsoptimierung und bessere Hardwareunterstützung mit sich bringt.
Diese Version stellt eine Vorschau zu ZevenOS 2.0 dar und gilt derzeit als nicht so stabil wie Version 1.1
Version 1.9 ist gedacht für Entwickler und TechGeeks. Anfänger sollten lieber zu Version 1.1 greifen.
Ein neues Bootsplash wie auch Hintergrundbild wurde für diese Version von der Community bereitgestellt. (Danke an anatolij)
Unserer Software wurde auch auf die aktuellsten Versionen, bekannt aus dem 1.1 Update, aktualisiert. Dies beinhaltet eine verbesserte Deskbar genau wie MAGI 2, DiskManager und People.
Unser neues Basissystem Jaunty bringt neben Geschwindigeitsoptimierung auch aktuellere Software mit vielen bugfixes mit. Allerdings bringt das neue System auch einige Einschränkungen mit sich. So kann es zu erheblichen Geschwindigkeitseinbussen und Stabilitätsproblemen mit Intel Grafikkarten kommen. Zudem haben einige Python Programme Kompatibilitätsprobleme.

The final release will be out in the 4th quarter this year.
I assume after the release of Ubuntu Karmic.

Yeah. Really looking forward to the V2 release, as V1.9 holds a lot of promise. ZevenOS is the first time I have used Xubuntu. Have used Ubuntu and Kubuntu. They were ok and did the job, Kubuntu, being very pretty with it. But I can live without all that. I really like the speed Xubuntu gives me. So cheers to all involved……Good job.
