Here a quick and short update on the progress we make on ZevenOS and the future plans
First of all ZevenOS 2.0 is a huge success. We are really proud and thankfull for all testers and downloaders and will continue to produce the best linux distro thats out there.

Thanks to the feedback we managed to fix some of the most annoying bugs in ZevenOS very quickly. Besides the usual updates that include bugfixes for MAGI2, Encode and YAVTD, we also created some special fix-installers to provide you with an easy method of fixing some bugs that are a little bit more complicated. Here a short list:
FixAudioCD:
This will fix the support for AudioCDs as audacious2 seems to have trouble reading some audiocds. It will automatically install sound-juicer and will set it as standard audiocd-player. Its also a handy tool if you want to rip audio of the cd.
FixUpgradeTheme:
This will fix the problem and bug that might occur when you accidently upgraded to a newer sawfish version or libwnck. It will also fix apt and the update-manager so that they don’t upgrade those packages anymore.
Fixmidi:
This will add newer and better midi sound support to your system. It will install the fantastic fluidsynth sound font aswell as the fluidsynth server to control it. Simply start qsynth before playing a midi file and you will notice the difference immediately. (configure it using the pulseaudio soundserver as output and /usr/share/sounds/sf2/FluidR3_GM.sf2 as soundfont). Try playing midis with pmidi for instance.
Here an example shell script that helps you play a midi file directly with pmidi and fluidsynth.

Here are some of the future plans we made for the upcoming months and years for ZevenOS.
