ForumZevenOS 3.0 – First Look

ZevenOS 3.0 has reached is first developer release based upon Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat Beta 1.
It includes the following changes :
- added dynamic menu to Deskbar
- added MAGI Configuration Center
- added newest MAGI 2 version
- added traybar in Deskbar
- added brand new Theme inspired by Haiku, BeOS and ZETA
- replaced rhythmbox & audacious with deadbeef

I hope that in this version we can read “ZevenOS” in grub and no “Ubuntu”…

These changes look great. I am looking forward to the upgrades in the deskbar menu, especially being able to dynamically edit menu items and the integrated volume control. Keep up the good work!

Hi,
the video for ZevenOS 3.0 looks promising.
Please release a 64bit version directly from the beginning as well, as potential users will use it on their primary workstation and they most likely will have more than 4GB RAM installed.

We will only release a 32Bit Version. This one can adress more then 4GB RAM with the PAE Kernel though.
